Website Recipes

"I hold a "Senior Vegetable Sommelier" licence in Japan . (this licence includes skills in how to eat, select and teach about food. These skills can be utilised for the benefit of society by bringing farmers and ordinary people together). Because of this qualification I have been able to contribute to an independent super market's website with a monthly "Seasonal Recipes" column. These recipes use fruit & vegetables to make quick home-made dishes for working mothers, deserts that can be done with the kids, and much, much more. I have taken all the photos for each recipe myself.
"As a note, I have been going to a studio in order to improve my skills in photography. With this professional help I was able to start "Akiho's 3-step Recipes". These recipes are popular with working woman and those who are dieting. After one year my second series was released, which saw the introduction of the lunch-box recipes."

TV appearances

"In the beginning, I was appearing on TV shows all over Japan , introducing the use of traditional vegetables in cooking. I also had the opportunity of working in the studios and cooking for the stars.
One time, I hosted a program at my family's bamboo forest. We harvested bamboo shoots and after, made lots of different dishes from the harvest. The bamboo on my family's farm have to be planted in a special way, therefore the harvest must also be done differently.
Through the TV program I was able to show people these special techniques. It proved very popular, and the TV program's ratings increased during my slot."
